Hagyó’s rival was employed by the BRFK (Main Police Office of Budapest)

Hagyó’s rival was employed by the BRFK (Main Police Office of Budapest)
As we mentioned before, while Hagyó Miklós and a few of the defendant from the BKV case was in pre-trial detention, until then a few other people got into favorable situation. Among others, Pető György, the former deputy mayor of Óbuda, who was known as Hagyó rival.
He was employed at the BRFK in March, 2010, to the department where they had the investigation in the BKV case, and after the Fidesz’s self-government’s winning he got a job from Tarlós István lord mayor. First he became the leader of the Public place control of Budapest, and then he became the leader of the so called FBI of Budapest, the Protecting Office of Budapest.
In the late article of HVG they wrote this about the occasion: „Pető is working at the department of the economic protection at the BRFK, where they working on the BKV case. Then it would be a crime for the investigators not to exploit his inside information/knowledge. Pető had a really good relationship with Tarlós István (floor leader of the Fidesz of Budapest), who was like the political beneficiary of the BKV case, meanwhile they were rivals in the MSZP’s infighting with the former deputy lord mayor Hagyó Miklós, who was the controller of the BKV.”

What can we know about Pető György?
Pető György was the former socialist deputy mayor of Óbuda, next/along to Tarlós István between 2002-2006, then from 2006 to 2008 he was leading the MSZP fraction, and he was the administration boss over Molnár Gyula, who was the mayor of Újbuda. In 2008 Pető quit from the fraction with 9 party fellows, and then he became the member of the MSZDP fraction, where he quit in the October of 2009. In 2010 he transferred to the department of the economic protection at the BRFK, where among others, he was working on the BKV case, later he became the leader of the Public place control of Budapest, then he became the leader of Protecting Office of Budapest.
Before, he was served at the Ministry of the Home Affair’s II/III group directorate, as the status of a police. He confessed his past/background counter-espionage in 2005, as he pen/said in that time: I undertake my past, and there is no law rule or conscience factor why I should resign. Later he stated like this: I was never an agent in the meaning of what they meant this word after the end of the communist regime.

Pető vs. Hagyó
So Pető before was a politician in the MSZP, on the election of 2006 he was the socialist mayor nominee of the III. district. The relationship with Hagyó Miklós (who started to be upgrading in that time) spoiled/went off when the member number of the MSZP’S basic organization of Óbuda grown unexpectedly. Behind this expansion which was intent for the swapping/changing of the leading, they implied Hagyó.
Pető György’s scope of activities
The HVG stated like this in that time: „according to some news, he was trusted by the investigators with the so called cold – didn’t explore since a long time – cases. Just when Pető’s past/record came out – for example his conflict with Hagyó Miklós, who we can say was the „key fellow” in the BKV case – can throw new light upon with the evidences of the BKV investigation.”
After this: Pető György’s task at the Protecting Office of Budapest Nonprofit Ltd., to improve the city’s security, the defense of the property of Budapest, as well as to control/restrain the corruption and other, expenses for the city at the economic associations. The association which had 10 million forint of stock was founded with the suggestion of Tarlós István.

A vezetés lecserélését célzó bővítés mögött akkor Hagyót sejtették a pártban.
Csakhogy a tűz közelébe került Pető előélete – például a BKV-ügyben kulcsfigurának mondható Hagyóval való ismert konfliktusa – új megvilágításba helyezheti a BKV-s nyomozás bizonyítékait.”
Ezt követően: Pető György feladata a Budapesti Biztonsági Iroda Nonprofit Kft.-nél a város biztonságának javítása, a főváros vagyonának védelme, valamint a gazdasági társaságoknál tapasztalható korrupció és más, a város kárára való folyamatok megfékezése. A 10 milliós alaptőkéjű társaságot Tarlós István javaslatára hozták létre.
